Second-Year Medical Students Sweat It Out in Skills Application Exam

Second-year students at Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Medicine participated in the Skills Application Exam held at the Vital Simulation Center to assess their clinical knowledge and competence. Students had the opportunity to demonstrate both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills at different stations.

In the exams held at the center, equipped with modern simulation facilities, students performed numerous applications such as opening a vein, measuring blood pressure, injection techniques, patient communication, and basic clinical skills in one-on-one scenarios. During the process observed by the instructors, the students’ professional competencies were evaluated step by step.

Thanks to the human-like simulation mannequins and case simulations used during the exam, students had the opportunity to experience situations they might encounter with real patients. This practice both strengthened the students’ self-confidence and stood out as part of a patient safety-focused educational approach.

Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Medicine continues to train qualified physicians by equipping students with competence in well-equipped and controlled environments before they enter clinical practice.
