VITAL – An orientation program consisting of theoretical, practical, and applied training was conducted for our sixth-year students who will begin their internship at the Lokman Hekim University Vocational Skills and Simulation Center in the 2024-2025 academic year.
As part of this program, following the transfer of basic processes related to internship at the LHU Ankara Health and Application Center, our students were trained on “Human Resources Practices, Laboratory Process, Sample Safety, Emergency Medical Law, Principles of Good Medical Practice, Effective Communication Techniques, Communication with Patients and Their Families, Infection Control Prevention Program, Quality Standards in Health, Information Security and Management, and Emergency Management.”
Following the theoretical training, basic medical skills were reviewed and practiced one-on-one at our Professional Skills and Simulation Center. Practical and hands-on training was provided on topics that interns will frequently encounter during their internship period through clinical scenarios, using both digital simulators and face-to-face interactions with standardized patients.
We would like to thank our faculty members who supported the “Welcome to Internship” orientation program. We also wish our students, whom we always support in their professional lives, success during their internship period.
