Oral Surgery Suturing Training Held at the VITAL Simulation Center
The Faculty of Dentistry at Lokman Hekim University organized the practical segment of the IV Student Days with an applied oral surgery suturing training session held at the VITAL Simulation Center. The event followed the theoretical sessions of the first day and enabled students to reinforce clinical skills in a controlled and realistic environment.
Hands-On Oral Surgery Suturing Training at VITAL
During the oral surgery suturing training, conducted in the C Block VITAL Simulation Center, students practiced essential surgical steps such as incision preparation, tissue handling, needle control, suture material selection, and various suturing techniques. The center’s advanced simulation infrastructure enhanced the learning process and supported students in improving both technical proficiency and clinical safety awareness.
The structured setup of the simulation environment allowed participants to experience oral surgery suturing from multiple angles and apply fundamental techniques under expert guidance. This hands-on format enabled students to translate theoretical knowledge into practical competence.
A Highlight of the Practice-Focused Day of the Event
Among the workshops held on the second day of the IV Student Days, the oral surgery suturing training stood out thanks to the VITAL Simulation Center’s modern equipment and individualized feedback opportunities. While the program’s first day was dedicated to theoretical lectures, the second day provided an applied learning experience that strengthened students’ readiness for clinical practice.
