Lokman Hekim University Nursing Department once again highlighted the importance of practical training. In the first-year practical exam held at the ViTAL Simulation Center, students had the opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge based on real-life clinical scenarios.
Before the exam, an innovative method was applied to reduce students’ anxiety levels and increase their focus. All students participated in 15-minute meditation and stress reduction sessions using VR glasses. Thanks to this application, students entered the exam environment mentally better prepared.
The exams conducted in the simulation rooms were based on individual assessment in areas such as injection practices, patient communication, basic care skills, and patient safety. Mannequins that closely mirrored real patient experiences and control room monitoring systems made a significant contribution to the measurement and evaluation process.
Lokman Hekim University continues to raise the bar for nursing education quality every day with this holistic approach that considers both technological infrastructure and student psychology.
